How do you buy a Nook book from the Barnes and Nobles website.
Can you buy the book from your laptop and then transfer it to the Nook. Or do you have to use the physical nook and download it with that.
You can buy a Nook book either way. To buy on your computer, just go to the book you want, choose the Nook ebook version rather than paperback/hardback, and do all the normal check-out stuff. You’ll be able to download the file. Download Adobe Digital Editions – it’s a free program to read epub ebooks and you can use it to transfer the file you just bought to a Nook. Just connect the Nook to your computer via USB and follow the instructions Adobe Digital Editions gives you (you’ll probably have to register your device, which only takes a few minutes). And there you go!To buy on the Nook, just make sure you’re connected to Wifi (or 3G if your device has the 3G feature), go to the store, and buy what you want. If you don’t have your credit card set up with your Nook/Barnes & Noble account, you’ll have to do that first; just follow the on-screen instructions.

Hey, Lexi, connect your Nook or NOOK Color to a computer (using the NOOKcolor microUSB cable) to transfer personal files. Your NOOKcolor will appear on your computer as a removable drive. Just click on the file on your computer and copy it (drag-and-drop) to the appropriate NOOKcolor folder. All of your personal photos, images and videos can be found in “my files” located in your NOOKcolor library. 1) Tap on “library”; 2) Tap on “my files”. There are many folders within “my files” to store multimedia content: Pictures, Videos, etc. These files may also be accessed through the Gallery found in under Extras from the Home Screen.Personal files saved on a microSD card (class 6 or above) installed in your NOOKcolor can be found in your Library.1. Press the Home Button2. Tap on the Quick Nav Arrow3. Tap on “library”4. Tap on “my files”5. Tap on “Memory Card”, found at the top of the screen, just below the row of icons.

how do i transfer my nook books from my online library to my nook using wifi.
i just bought a book on my laptop and am wondering how to transfer it to my nook using wifi since i dont have a usb cable to hook up to my computer.
I downloaded an app called Wifi File Transfer and all you do is double click on the icon and you access your files wirelessly via your Internet connection and it’s secure. However, I rooted my Nook so I’m not sure how it works without rooting it. If you root it, you can download all of the apps available to Android phones. The downside is that the warranty of the Nook won’t be valid anymore but in my case, the benefits of rooting it outweighed the warranty. If you are thinking about rooting it, just Google it. That’s how I did mine and I am not tech savvy.
How can i get Nookbooks from my computer to my Nook.
Because of certain things, the Wi-Fi on my nook isn’t working with my home computer. So i figured that while we are figuring that out, i could manually go to bn.com, buy the book, and put it on my Nook (because that’s how my ipod works). So i bought the book and no matter what i do i can’t get it onto…
Hi, Rebecca R, first on your Wi-Fi issues: I’ve seen some posts – don’t know if they are correct – that Nook seems to work fine with Non-secured, WEP, and WPA-PSK [TKIP] wireless settings but could have issues with WPA2-PSK [AES] thus if your home router is set to WPA2-PSK [AES], it’d be best to set it instead to Auto (WPA or WPA2) mode so that your other devices that support WPA2 could still use that while Nook can get through on WPA – again, don’t know if that’s 100% correct. In any case, you should be able to register from any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook’s or any Starbucks or any McDonalds or airport or any other place that provides free Wi-Fi service or your home’s wireless router. Also, there’s have been the following notes in forums – again, they might not be correct for your particular situation or with your Nook model:1. The Nook does not support WEP with shared key authentication, only open system authentication (which in spite of the name is actually safer). So check if your wireless router WEP authentication is set to shared or open. Only open will work with the Nook.2. The router is set to WEP but Nook auto-misidentified the network as WPA2, and then failed to connect. Once I went to the bottom of the list and chose “Install Manually” and then went through selecting WEP, all was well. Now, to hook up through PC – first, you will need a BN.com account to register your new NOOK. If you do not already have a BN account, create one on their web siteIf you have an existing BN.com account, be sure you have a default credit card and billing information saved in your account. Sign-in to your account to manage your Credit Card. You MUST register your Nook through Wi-Fi, no way to do it through PC. You can load boooks through PC but first the device need sto be registered. The easiest to start with any free Wi-Fi spots that do not need password or any other manual intervention from any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook’s or any Starbucks or any McDonalds or airport or any other place that provides free Wi-Fi service. After you’re done with that, then you can move on to transferring ebooks to Nook through your PC.After you downloaded book to your PC do this:1. plug the Nook to your pc with the usb cable.2. add the books to the “my documents” folder in your Nook.3. unplug your Nook from pc.4. go to “my library” in ur Nook -> “view my documents”, check for new content.5. the ebooks you’ve added should pop up.

I’m not precisely certain of what you’re asking — if you’re asking, How do I transfer my books from my computer to my Nook, here’s a quick tutorial:http://www.auntlee.com/ebooks/faq.html#c…If you’re asking, how do I check out e-books from my local library, then it’s going to be different depending upon the library. What won’t be different is that librarians are very good at helping you with the process; just go to your local library website and call them or find something like an “Ask a Librarian” link and follow the directions.
